Therapist | Yoga Teacher | Councillor | Healer

Tell us a bit about your background and what led you to set up your own business?

I have been working as a wellness therapist for almost 20 years.  I have always been interested in health and wellbeing and as my father died of a heart attack when I was a child.  Living in Hong Kong gave me the taste and experience of the benefits of alternative medicine/healings which led to start training in alternative therapies.

What do you specialise in?

I am a councillor and specialise in anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, bereavement, and loss of identity so see clients in my practice and also via zoom.  I also offer a range of holistic therapies including reiki and reflexology and my passion is teaching Kundalini yoga, which is a specialised yoga for wellness and transformation.

What has been your biggest challenge?

My biggest challenge relating to my business is using social media, people have always found me through my website and word of mouth, but I felt I needed to move to different media platforms, I find it scary and so it is still a work in progress for me!!

“Remember, you are always good enough”

Who or what inspires you the most?

What inspires me the most is seeing the change in my clients, whether it is through healing, counseling, or yoga, it’s just amazing to see them grow, become empowered, and become their true selves.

How have you adapted now we are faced with Covid-19?

I had to teach my yoga classes via zoom which actually helped me overcome some fear of social media and I have been using Zoom and Skype for counseling.

What keeps you motivated each day?

I love my work and the fact that I can help make a difference in peoples lives
